               <title>Fuel consumption engine map for perodua MYVI 1.3-l engine</title>

			   <description>Peta penggunaan bahan api enjin tertentu boleh digambarkan sebagai ringkasan prestasi enjin. Maklumat mengenai hubungan antara rpm dan kelajuan enjin boleh diperolehi dari peta tersebut. Banyak penyelidikan tentang peta penggunaan bahan api enjin tertentu telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui kapasiti enjin terutama pengeluar kereta. Dalam projek ini, Perodua Myvi 1.3 L enjin digunakan untuk mendapatkan peta bahan apinya. Enjin Myvi digandingkan kepada dinamometer eddy pada pendirian ujian dan dikawal oleh pengawal dinamometer. Kaedah gravimetrik digunakan untuk mendapatkan perubahan dalam jisim bahan api dan daripada itu, penggunaan bahan api peta enjin diperolehi. Beberapa pengiraan telah dilakukan untuk menentukan penggunaan bahan api enjin Myvi untuk setiap tork dan kelajuan. Daripada eksperimen yang telah dijalankan, BSFC yang tertinggi dicatatkan adalah 0.9626 kg/kWh pada kelajuan 1070.33 RPM dan tork 10.31 Nm manakala brek kecekapan haba adalah 8.42 %. Ini menunjukkan bahawa tork memberi kesan kepada brek kecekapan haba sebagaimana nilai tork menaik, brek kecekapan haba akan menaik juga.

Fuel consumption engine map can be described as a summary of an engine performance. Information regarding relationship between rpm and speed of engine can be obtained from the map. Many research about the fuel consumption engine map has been done in order to know the capacity of an engine especially car’s manufacturer. In this project, Perodua Myvi 1.3-L engine is used to get its fuel map. Myvi engine is coupled to an eddy-current dynamometer on a test stand and controlled by dynamometer controller. Gravimetric method is used to get the changes in mass of fuel and from that, fuel consumption of engine map is obtained. Some calculations has been done to determine the fuel consumption of Myvi engine for every torque and speed. From the experiment that has been conducted, the highest BSFC recorded was 0.9626 kg/kWh at speed 1070.33 RPM and torque 10.31 Nm and brake thermal efficiency at that point is 8.42%. It shows that torque gives effect to brake thermal efficiency as torque value increase, brake thermal efficiency of engine will goes increase.
