Abstract BS EN 50144-2-2:1996 is a European Standard for "Railway Applications - Communication, Signalling and Processing Systems - Safety-Related Communication in Transmission Systems - Part 2-2: Safety-Related Message Sets for Communication Between Vehicle(s) and Shore Station(s) for Train Control". It specifies the safety-related message sets and protocols used for communication between trains and shore stations in railway applications related to train control.
