BS 6068-0:1995 Water quality - Part 0. Introduction

BS 6068 describes methods for the investigation and determination of the characteristics of water samples. The methods are applicable to the examination of the total water environment. NOTE. Reference is necessary to other standards for the examination of water used in industry, namely BS 2690 for methods of testing water, and BS 1170 and BS 1427 for simple field tests using portable equipment. This Part of BS 6068 serves as a general introduction to all the Sections of BS 6068, including some descriptions of requirements applicable to a number of Sections. In addition, all the Sections published to date are are listed in clause 4, together with the ISO standards with which they are identical, where applicable.
