BS 7799-1:1995 Code of practice for information security management

This British Standard gives recommendations for information security management. It is intended to provide a common basis for organizations to develop, implement and measure effective security management practice and to provide confidence in interorganizational dealings. NOTE. It can be used as a common reference standard for interorganizational dealings and for subcontracting or procurement of information technology (IT) services or products.
