Abstract This part of BS 5551 specifies the method for the reduction of samples of solid fertilizers obtained during sampling. It provides procedures to divide and reduce bulk samples to obtain representative laboratory samples while maintaining the integrity and uniformity of the material. The standard ensures that the reduced samples accurately reflect the composition and characteristics of the original batch for subsequent testing and analysis.
