BS EN 60335-2-41:1996 is a European Standard titled "Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-41: Particular requirements for pumps". This standard specifies the safety requirements for pumps used in household and similar applications. The standard covers various aspects related to the safety of pumps, such as the requirements for electrical insulation, mechanical strength, and protection against electric shock. It also provides guidelines for the testing of these requirements and the evaluation of the pump's safety. BS EN 60335-2-41:1996 applies to pumps with a rated voltage of up to 250 V and a rated frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
