BS EN 50109-2-5:1996 is another British Standard that specifies the testing and measurement methods for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of signalling and telecommunications apparatus. It specifically addresses the measurement of radiated disturbances induced by radio-frequency fields in the frequency range of 9 kHz to 40 GHz.
The standard outlines the requirements for conducting measurements of the radiated emissions, including the test equipment to be used and the test set-up. It also provides guidance on how to interpret the test results and assess the level of electromagnetic interference.
BS EN 50109-2-5:1996 is also part of a series of standards that address the EMC requirements for signalling and telecommunications apparatus. Compliance with these standards ensures that such apparatus can operate reliably in their intended electromagnetic environment without causing interference to other equipment.
