This British Standard gives recommendations for
the internal installation of bullet resistant glazing
(see BS 5051), glazing resistant to manual attack
(see BS 5544) and aspects of construction for
complete installations.
NOTE. Specialist advice should be obtained from glazing
manufacturers if security glazing is to be used outdoors
Extreme climatic conditions may affect the performance of
security glazing products.
This code of practice does not cover the installation
of explosion resistant glazing.
