Dalam sistem komunikasi digital, penerima optimum adalah penting untuk memastikan bahawa kebenaran data digital yang diterima. Dalam usaha untuk mengesan isyarat yang dihantar, pengesan perlu direka berdasarkan jenis dan bentuk isyarat dihantar. Reka bentuk sistem komunikasi perlu mengambil kira dalam keseimbangan antara prestasi dan kos. Objektif projek ini adalah untuk mengkaji penerima optimum, untuk membangunkan litar simulasi penerima optimum dan untuk melaksanakan litar penerima optimum itu dalam perkakasan. Projek ini berkembang dalam beberapa peringkat termasuk litar reka bentuk, reka bentuk simulasi menggunakan Multisim, papan litar bercetak (PCB) reka bentuk susun atur dengan fabrikasi dan pelaksanaan perkakasan. Penerima optimum berjaya direka berdasarkan pengesan korelasi yang terdiri daripada penguat, penyepadu dan comparator untuk menentukan sama ada "1" atau "0" isyarat digital dikesan. Keputusan simulasi dan eksperimen dengan perbincangan berdasarkan amplifier, penyepadu dan comparator dibentangkan secara terperinci dengan menggunakan Multisim dan Agilent osiloskop. ___________________________________________________________________________________ In digital communication system, optimum receiver is important to ensure that the correctness of received digital data. In order to detect the transmitted signal, the detector must be designed based on type and form of the transmitted signals. The design of communication system has to take into account of the balance or trade-off between performance and cost. The project's objective is to study the optimum receiver, to develop simulation circuit of the optimum receiver and to implement the optimum receiver circuit in hardware. The project is progressed in several stages which include circuit design, design simulation using Multisim, printed circuit board (PCB) layout design with fabrication and hardware implementation. The optimum receiver is successfully designed based on correlation detector, which consists of amplifier, integrator and comparator to determine whether "1" or "0" digital signals is detected. Simulation and experimental results with discussions based on amplifier, integrator and comparator are presented in detail using Multisim and Agilent oscilloscope.
