This British Standard specifies the minimum performance requirements for the sound output of television tuners intended for use in high-fidelity audio equipment and systems. It defines: Electrical and acoustic performance characteristics of the audio output from television tuners. Test methods and measurement conditions to determine compliance with the specified requirements. Parameters such as frequency response, distortion, signal-to-noise ratio, output level, and channel separation. The standard ensures that television tuners used within high-fidelity systems provide consistent and high-quality audio performance compatible with other components of such systems.
