This Part of BS 5978 specifies the additional requirements that, together with those in BS 5978: Part 1, apply to the following gas-fired hot water boilers that are within the scope of BS 5978: Part 1. (a) boilers with atmospheric burners but not incorporating a fan; (b) boilers of heat input 150 kW and below with a non-automatic atmospheric burner system together with a fan located downstream of the combustion chamber but upstream of any draught diverter.
