BS EN ISO 2061:1996 is a British Standard that specifies a method for determining the breaking force and elongation at break of textile fabrics taken from rolls or bolts, made from any type of yarn or combinations of yarns, after a specified pretreatment. The standard provides a procedure for conducting a strip test on a testing machine, where the fabric sample is subjected to tension until it breaks, and measurements are taken to determine the breaking force and elongation at break.
This standard was developed and published by the British Standards Institution (BSI) in collaboration with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), hence the "EN ISO" designation. It is part of the ISO 2061 series that deals with various aspects of textile testing.
It's important to note that standards may be revised or updated over time, so it's a good practice to ensure you have the most current version of the standard when conducting any testing or referencing it for regulatory purposes.
