Design of permanent magnet synchronous motor for ceiling fan_Loh Ching Min_E3_2014_NI
Motor juga menghasilkan kuasa keluaran kira-kira 60W dan kecekapan yang tinggi kira-kira 98% ___________________________________________________________________________________ Permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) exhibit higher torque, better efficiency and having longer life span compared to the induction motors and subsequently, PMSMs are proposed for ceiling fans application. In this project, 4 different slot and pole numbers of the PMSMs have been proposed and designed which are 12s14p, 15s14p, 15s16p and 18s16p. The characteristics and performances of those machines have been assessed and evaluated by using the finite element software Opera2D. The performances of the motor in terms of electromagnetic force, magnetic flux density, cogging torque and voltage output are compared. From the investigation,12s14p motor is well performed. The motor depicted no saturated magnetic flux density during open-circuit analysis and also demonstrating balanced magnetic pull in the machine as well as showing smooth trapezoidal waveform which is suitable for brushless direct current (BLDC) drive. In addition, the modified 12s14p PMSM has improved by lowering the maximum magnetic flux density in the machine. The motor also produced the output power about 60W and high efficiency about 98%
