Projek ini memberi tumpuan untuk mereka bentuk antena ultra lebar jalur menggunakan mikrojalur tampalan. Mikrojalur tampalan UWB direka cipta dalam dua bentuk iaitu segiempat dan bulatan. Kesemua antenna ini direka bentuk dan di simulasi menggunakan “CST Microwave Studio”.Kedua-dua antena ini menggunakan suapan jenis laluan pengahantar mikrojalur.. Antena ini direka bentuk menggunakan persamaan terlebih dahulu dan diikuti dengan melakukan pengoptimuman pada sesetetengah parameter. pada antena itu. Sedikit pengubahsuaian telah dilakukan pada antenna konvensional untuk meningkatkan nilai jalur lebar. Dengan menambahkan slot dan step pada permukaan bumi dan juga menggunakan kesan bumi saparuh , ianya merupakan teknik menambah jalur lebar. Dimensi untuk kedua-dua antenna ialah 30×40 𝑚𝑚2. Duroid (Rogers 4003) digunakan sebagai bahan untuk substrat dalam projek ini.Keperluan pertama untuk antenna UWB adalah mampu beroperasi dalam lingkunagan frekuensi yang telah ditetapkan oleh FCC (3.1 GHz -10.6GHz) .Selain itu, cirri-ciri penyebaran dan kawasan kekuasaan untuk masa bagi frekuensi tersebu mestilah memuaskan.. Dalam tesis ini, persembahan antena separti “return loss”, bentuk radiasi dan taburan arus akan di analasis dan disiasat., Akhir sekali, kesimpulan akan dibuat berdasarkan simulasi dan ujikaji. _________________________________________________________________________________________ This project concentrates on designing an UWB antenna using microstrip patch antenna. The UWB microstrip patch antenna has been design in two shapes which are in rectangular and circular shape. Those antennas are designed and simulated using CST Microwave Studio. All antennas are using microstrip transmission line feeding. The antenna has been designed using equation first, and then followed by optimization of some parameters in antenna. Some modifications have been made in the conventional antenna in order to increased bandwidth. Adding slot and step on the ground plane and partial ground effect are used as a bandwidth enhancement technique in this project. Dimension of both antenna are 30×40 𝑚𝑚2. Duroid (Rogers R04003) are used as a substrate in this project. The primary requirement of UWB antenna is be able to operate over frequencies which release by FCC (3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz). Furthermore, the satisfaction of radiation pattern properties and good time domain performance over the entire frequency range also necessary. In this thesis, the performance such as return loss, radiation pattern and current distribution of the UWB circular and rectangular patch are extensively investigated and carried out. Lastly, conclusion will be made based on simulation and measurement result. Some improvement for those designs is expected for future usage in the world.
