The main objective of this thesis is to design various structures of the helical antenna in the high frequency range and to study the effect these shapes has on the S11 parameter results of the helical antenna. Among the helical antenna parameters that are being researched are its different forms that link to multiple diameters, radius ratio, and number of turns. Simulation results were simulated using the CST Microwave Studio which is an analytic tool that provides an accurate 3D EM simulation results for high frequency. The helical antenna was constructed for the selected simulation design. This is to compare between the simulated results and the measured results. The simulation results conclude that all of the simulated designs were operating in the High Frequency range and has the return loss below the -10dB reference line. From the far-field simulated results, the helical antennas radiation pattern has a donut shape indicating it as a vertically polarized antenna. The main lobe of the patterns occupied the entire region 0° ≤ θ ≤ 90°. The simulation results also conclude that as the number of turns of the helical antenna is increased the operating frequency would decrease and the bandwidth would be narrower. The directivity of the antenna however is proportional to the number of turns increased. There were some slight difference between the fabricated results and the simulated results due to many factors which will be discussed more in this thesis. Overall, the results of the experiment revealed that all of the helical antennas’ designed was operating in the High Frequency range and have wide bandwidth. _____________________________________________________________________________________Objektif utama keseluruhan tesis ini adalah untuk merekabentuk pelbagai struktur antenna helikal yang beroperasi didalam julat frekuensi tinggi dan mengkaji kesan-kesan kepelbagaian bentuk tersebut terhadap parameter S11 antena helikal tersebut . Antara parameter yang dikaji adalah kepelbagain bentuk, nisbah jejari, dan bilangan pusingan antena helik. Simulasi dijalanakan dengan menggunkan program simulasi Computer Simulation Technique Microwave Studio (CST). Ia bertindak sebagai penganalisis yang dapat memaparkan rekaan dalam bentuk 3-dimensi untuk rekabentuk didalam julat frekuensi tinggi. Antenna helik yang terpilih dari rekabentuk dalam simulasi akan difabrikasi. Ini adalah untuk memantau perbezaan keputusan kedua-dua kaedah tersebut. Konklusi yang dapat dibuat dari keputusan simulasi adalah semua rekabentuk antenna helik mempunyai nilai balik dibawah garis rujukan -10dB dan beroperasi didalam julat frekuensi tinggi. Dari simulasi medan jauh pula, corak radiasi bagi antenna helik didapati dalam bentuk donut menandakan bahawa ia mempunyai polarasi menegak. Corak radiasi juga memenuhi pada sudut 0° ≤ θ ≤ 90°. Selain itu simulasi juga menunjukkan bahawa apabila bilangan putaran antenna helik bertambah, frekuensi operasinya turut berkurang lebar jalurnya juga akan turut berkurang. Kearahan antenna pula adalah berkadar terus dengan bilangan putaran yang bertambah. Terdapat sedikit perbezaan diantara keputusan simulasi dengan keputusan yang diukur. Ini adalah kerana terdapat pelbagai faktor yang mungkin mempengaruhi bacaan dan faktor-faktor ini akan dibincangkan dengan lebih di dalam tesis ini. Keseluruhannya, keputusan eksperiment dan simulasi menunjukkan bahawa pelbagai rekabentuk antena helikal yamg beroperasi dalam julat frekuensi tunggi dan mempunyai lebar jalur yang lebih luas telah dihasilkan.
