Dalam saluran terbuka menekuk, pengedaran kelajuan aliran adalah berbeza beza disepanjang saluran. Penambakan di tikungan dapat meningkatkan pengedaran aliran. Tesis ini menjelaskan hasil kajian ke dalam edaran kelajuan dan kedalaman air untuk dua jenis tikungan, satu tanpa penambakan dan satu dengan penambakan di dalam. Menggunakan perisian FLOW3D, simulasi untuk kedua lengkungan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan ciri-ciri aliran diperlukan. Keputusan eksperimen diberikan untuk pengedaran kelajuan dan pengedaran air kedalaman untuk pembentenan baik. Keputuan eksperimen dibandingkan dengan keputusan yang diperolehi penulis. ___________________________________________________________________________________ In open channel bend, the velocity distribution of flow is varies along the channel. Banking in the bend can improved the distribution of flow. This thesis describe the result of research into distribution of velocity and water depth for two types of bends, one without banking and one with banking in the inside. Using Flow 3D software, the simulation for both bend was done to obtain the required flow characteristic. The experimental results are given for the velocity distribution and water depth distribution for both banking. The results given are compared the writer’s simulations.
