BS ISO/IEC 9574:1989, titled "Information technology – Telecommunications and information exchange between systems – Provision of the OSI connection-mode network service by packet mode terminal equipment connected to an Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)," is a standard that specifies how packet-mode terminal equipment connected to an Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) can provide the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) connection-mode network service. Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is a set of communication standards for the simultaneous digital transmission of voice, video, data, and other network services over traditional telephone lines.
