Projek ini membentangkan reka bentuk satu sistem photovoltaic (PV) yang berupaya untuk membekalkan tenaga elektrik yang diperlukan dalam sesebuah rumah kediaman. IEEE 929-2000 mentakrifkan sistem PV kecil adalah sistem PV yang terlibat dalam penjanaan kuasa elektrik kurang daripada 10 kW. Reka bentuk lengkap bagi sistem yang dicadangkan perlu dijalankan. Minimum sinaran matahari harian dan anggaran maksimum permintaan elektrik harian rumah biasa diambil kira dalam langkah-langkah reka bentuk. Kaedah reka bentuk ini bertujuan untuk mengurangkan kos modal permulaan bagi sistem yang disyorkan. Projek ini berhasrat untuk menyediakan garis panduan mengenai saiz dan pemasangan sistem PV di Malaysia. Pemasangan sistem PV kecil amat penting dalam usaha peningkatan hidup pengguna domestik, kesihatan, pertanian, pendidikan, dan sector perusahawaan kecil. Sistem PV telah dianggap sebagai salah satu pilihan yang terbaik untuk mejayakan projek-projek infrastruktur luar bandar yang masih berkurang bekalan elektrik daripada sistem sambungan grid. Semua analisis berdasarkan graf dan jadual juga dimasukkan dalam bahagian keputusan dan perbincangan. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ This undergraduate project presents a design for a stand-alone photovoltaic (PV) system to provide the required electricity for a single residential household. IEEE 929-2000 defines a small PV system to be rated at less than 10 kW. The complete design of the suggested system is carried out. The minimum daily insolation and estimated maximum daily electricity demand of a typical household in the considered site are taken into account during the design steps. The method developed here mainly to minimize the initial capital cost for the suggested system. This project aims at providing guideline on sizing and installing PV system in Malaysia. Installations of PV system for small-scale electricity generation can help improve activities in the domestic, healthcare, agriculture, education, and micro-enterprises sectors. PV systems have been considered as one of the best options for rural infrastructure projects. All the analysis based on graphs and tables also included in the results and discussion part.
