Borang masukan biasanya digunakan untuk pengumpulan data dan informasi daripada pelbagai orang. Terdapat pelbagai jenis borang masukan, antaranya ialah data masukan jenis kotak, data masukan jenis garisan putus, atau kotak semakan. Biasanya, pengguna akan mengisi maklumatnya dalam borang masukan, dan data dalam borang masukan itu akan diekstrak keluar untuk tujuan penyimpanan dan pemprosesan. Kajian ini melibatkan terhasilnya sistem Pengecaman Aksara Dalam Borang Masukan supaya aksara tulisan tangan dalam borang masukan dapat diekstrak keluar dan seturusnya dikecami. Proses-proses yang terlibat dalam usaha untuk mengekstrak dan mengecami aksara tulisan tangan dalam borang masukan adalah imej penduaan, penemuan dan penghapusan garisan-garisan kotak, pengurangan gangguan imej, menyelesaikan masalah pertindihan aksara tulisan tangan dengan garisan-garisan kotak, mengasingkan aksara ke tetingkap masing masing, dan seterusnya pengecaman aksara optik. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah Pengambangan Global, Penurasan Median, Pengembangan Mofologikal, Pelabelan Komponen yang Tersambung dan K-Jiran Terdekat algoritma supaya kadar pencapaian sistem ini adalah baik. Di samping itu, Antara Muka Grafik Pengguna direka untuk memudahkan interaksi antara pengguna dengan sistem ini. Keputusan yang didapat akan disimpankan dalam txt file untuk kajian dan pemprosesan seterusnya. Prestasi keseluruhan sistem ini adalah 98% untuk pengekstrakan dan 88% untuk pengecaman aksara. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Entry-forms are usually used for data and information collection from various people. They are normally in data filled boxes, data filled dotted lines or check box. Normally, user will fill in their information into the entry forms, and the data will be extracted from the forms for storages and processing purposes. This study involves the development of a Form Filling Character Recognition (FFCR) system so that the handwritten characters in the entry-forms may be extracted and recognized. The processes involve in extracting and recognizing the handwritten characters from the entry–forms include image binarization, table detection and removal, noise reduction, solving overlapping problems, isolating the characters into individual frames and also optical character recognition. Methodologies such as Global Thresholding, Median Filters, Morphological Dilation, Connected Component Labeling and K-Nearest Neighbor algorithms are used in the system so that it can perform better. Besides, a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is designed to facilitate the interaction between the users and the system. The results obtained will be stored in the txt file for further analysis and processing. The overall performance of the system is 98% for extraction and 88% for character recognition.
