Abstract BS EN 10126:1996 is a British Standard that specifies the requirements for continuously hot-dip zinc-coated flat steel products for cold forming. The standard applies to flat steel products with a thickness range of 0.20 mm to 3.0 mm and a width of up to 2,000 mm. The standard specifies the chemical composition, mechanical properties, and surface finish requirements for continuously hot-dip zinc-coated flat steel products. It also includes requirements for dimensions, tolerances, and formability of the products. BS EN 10126:1996 is intended for use by manufacturers and users of continuously hot-dip zinc-coated flat steel products for cold forming. The standard is particularly relevant for applications where the steel will be subjected to forming operations, such as in the automotive and construction industries.
