Pertambahan penduduk Malaysia yang kian pesat menyebabkan jumlah isipadu kumbahan yang dihasilkan meningkat. Para penyelidik telah menyelidik penggunaan enapcemar kumbahan yang dirawat. Salah satunya adalah dengan mencampurkan bahan tersebut dengan bata tanah liat. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh enapcemar kumbahan bertindak balas dengan larutan air, 8% NaCl, 20% Na2SO4 dan 8% NaCl + 20% Na2SO4. Batu bata tanah liat dihasilkan dengan nisbah campuran enapcemar kumbahan yang berlainan daripada 5%-25% dan direndamkan selama 3 bulan dalam larutan-larutan tersebut. Kemudian, bata tanah liat ini akan diuji untuk menentukan kadar awal penyerapan, keliangan, ketumpatan, penyerapan air dan kekuatan mampatan. Berdasarkan keputusan yang diperoleh, semakin tinggi peratusan enapcemar kumbahan dalam bata, semakin tinggi kadar awal penyerapan. Keputusan keliangan dan penyerapan air menunjukkan pada peratusan enapcemar kumbahan yang lebih tinggi, struktur poros semakin bertambah. Ketumpatan dan kekuatan mampatan menurun dengan penggunaan peratusan enapcemar yang tinggi. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Malaysia's population is growing rapidly lead to the total volume of waste generated is increasing. The researchers have been researching the use of treated sewage sludge. One way is to mix the material with clay bricks. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of sewage sludge reacts with a solution of water, 8% NaCl, 20% Na2SO4 and 8% NaCl + 20% Na2SO4. Clay bricks produced with sewage sludge mixture ratio from 5% to 25% and immersed in the solutions for 3 months. Then, the clay bricks will be tested to determine the initial rate of absorption, porosity, density, water absorption and compressive strength. Based on the results obtained, the higher the percentage of sewage sludge performance brick, the higher the initial rate of absorption. Porosity and water absorption results showed the percentage of sewage sludge is higher, increasing the porous structure. Density and compressive strength decreased with the use of a high percentage of sludge.
