Reka bentuk dan analisis pemegang sampel aerobiologi akan dikaji dalam projek ini. Penyelidikan telah dijalankan untuk mengkaji konsep biologi udara, pemegang pensampelan dan kegunaannya. Konsep-konsep ini, kemudiannya akan digunakan untuk merekabentuk bagi bentukan pemegang persampelan. Proses fabrikasi melalui ‘Rapid Prototyping’ dan ‘Fused Deposition Modeling’ menggunakan bahan-bahan yang terpilih akan dilaksanakan. Perbandingan antara bahan termoplastik iaitu PLA dan ABS dibincangkan dalam pemilihan bahan. Pemegang sampel aerobiologi ini direka bagi mengambil zarah fungi di udara yang menjadi punca utama kepada faktor kesihatan dan penyakit dalam kehidupan seharian pada masa kini. Analisa terhadap rekabentuk pemegang sampel udara akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan ‘ANSYS Workbench’. Penggunaan pemegang persampelan kemudian akan digunakan sebagai kaedah-kaedah diagnosis hiliran untuk memudahkan pemprosesan sampel. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ This project proposes the design and analysis of aerobiology sampling holder. Research is done in order to study the concept of aerobiology, sampling holder and their applications. The concepts will then be used to design then fabricate a sampling holder. The fabrication process through Rapid Prototyping and Fused Deposition Modelling using the appropriate materials will be performed. Comparison between thermoplastic materials, which is PLA and ABS, is discussed in materials selection. Sampling holder is performed for a number of reasons since there are many aspects in our life are affected by biology particles that are carried in the air and deposited from it. Analysis on finite element will be performed using ANSYS Workbench. The application of sampling holder then will be used as downstream diagnostic methods to ease of sample processing.
