Pasaran teknologi pengesanan frekuensi radio (RFID) telah berkembang dengan pesat serta memberi banyak peluang yang penting. Aplikasi penanda RFID dan perkembangan sistem telah menyebabkan peningkatan terhadap pembinaan pengesan integrasi ke dalam penanda RFID. Pengesan integrasi aktif RFID diperkenalkan untuk menambah baik fungsi pengesan daripada sistem RFID sedia ada. Sistem RFID boleh digabungkan bersama sistem pengesan dan boleh digunakan untuk menyelia alam sekitar atau mengukur parameter khusus secara fizikal sebagai contoh kelembapan, suhu atau tekanan. Projek ini lebih tertumpu kepada aplikasi kualiti air selepas mengambil kira keadaan kritikal bagi sumber air tercemar di Malaysia. Projek ini bertujuan untuk membina pengesan integrasi aktif RFID yang dapat menyediakan lebih banyak kemudahan dan mampu mengurangkan tenaga pekerja serta kos. Pengesan pada penanda akan membaca tahap parameter pH, isyarat berkala dan kemudian menganalisis maklumat awal. Maklumat yang dikesan akan dihantar dan dianalisis secara lanjut oleh pembaca. Seterusnya, maklumat akan dihantar ke sistem pemprosesan berkomputer. Maklumat tersebut dihantar secara tanpa wayar dengan bantuan cip X-Bee yang menggunakan protokol Zigbee. Di dalam litar penghantar, PIC bertanggungjawab untuk menyediakan maklumat untuk dipindahkan oleh pemancar dan penerima akan menerima maklumat tersebut secara selari. Selepas mempelajari teknologi ini, pengaturcaraan bagi Pengubah Analog kepada Digital (ADC) akan diaplikasi dalam mereka cipta dengan menggunakan PIC C COMPILER (CCS PCWHD). Data yang didapati akan dipaparkan melalui Grafik Antara Muka Pengguna yang dibina dari pengaturcaraan Visual Basic. _________________________________________________________________________________ The market for Radio frequency Identification (RFID) technology is growing rapidly with significant opportunities to add value. As application of RFID tags and systems expands, there is an increasing need to integrate sensor into RFID tags. Sensorintegrated active RFID is introduced to enhance the sensing functions of the current RFID system. RFID systems can be combined with sensory systems and can be used for monitoring the environment or measuring a particular physical parameter such as humidity, temperature or pressure. This project focuses more on water quality monitoring application after considering the critical situation of polluted natural water resources in Malaysia. The aim of this project is to develop integrated active sensor system with RFID application those provide more facilities and reduce the reliance on man power and cost equipment. The sensor in the tag would sample pH level parameter, signal periodically and then analyse the preliminary data. The sensing data will be read and further analyzed by the reader. Then the data will be transferred to computer processing system. The data will be transmitted wirelessly using X-Bee chip which is using the ZigBee protocol. In the transmitter circuit, the PIC microcontroller is responsible to setup the data so that it can be transferred to the transmitter and the receiver will receive the serial data. After studying the technology, analog digital converter (ADC) programming will be applied in designing by using Pic C Compiler (CCS PCWHD). The data collected will displays on the computer through Graphical User Interface (GUI) that created using Visual Basic program.
