Abstract The DD 238 Fieldbus Access Sublayer (FAS) provides for interfaces to its service users and the DD 238 Data Link Layer (DLL). This specification defines the FAS model, the FAS services, and its protocol. This specification is intended to be read in conjunction with the DD 238 Fieldbus Message Specification (FMS), DD 238 Network Management Specification, and DD 238 Data Link Layer Services and Protocol specifications.
