BS 7752-1:1994 : Free running type wire thread inserts — Part 1. Specification for ISO metric coarse pitch threads

This Part of BS 7752 specifies requirements for free running wire thread inserts which, when fitted into an appropriately prepared hole, will: a) provide ISO metric coarse pitch female threads of tolerance class 5H or 6H with sizes from M2 to M39 inclusive; b) accept ISO metric male threads conforming to BS 3643‑1:1981 and BS 3643‑2:1981; c) operate successfully in the temperature range – 50 °C to+ 300 °C.
