BS EN 10137-2:1996 is a British Standard that specifies the requirements for hot-rolled or cold-formed structural steel products with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance. The standard applies to steel products with a thickness of up to 150 mm and a maximum yield strength of 460 N/mm².
The standard specifies the chemical composition, mechanical properties, and surface characteristics of the structural steel products. It also includes requirements for dimensions, tolerances, and testing methods.
BS EN 10137-2:1996 specifically covers the technical delivery conditions for normalized or normalized-rolled structural steel products with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance. It is intended for use by manufacturers and users of structural steel products in construction applications, where the steel will be exposed to outdoor environments.
