Laporan ini akan membincangkan mengenai rekabentuk satu sistem radar pencari arah yang boleh digunakan untuk mengesan penerimaan isyarat dalam julat frekuensi dari 2GHz hingga 18GHz. Julat frekuensi yang digunakan ini adalah merupakan frekuensi yang digunakan dalam operasi ketenteraan. Sistem radar pencari arah ini direkabentuk melalui gabungan beberapa bahagian seperti antena penerima, litar penguat hingar rendah, litar pencampur penukarturun, litar pengayun varaktor boleh laras, litar penapis laluan jalur, litar penukar isyarat RF ke voltan DC, litar penguat, litar penukar isyarat analog ke isyarat digital (ADC), litar penukar isyarat digital ke isyarat analog (DAC) serta papan pelatih mikropengawal 8051. Bagi sistem ini, antena penerima yang direkabentuk adalah dari jenis antena vivaldi berlawanan tepat dan satu sistem pencari arah yang lengkap memerlukan sebanyak lapan antena penerima dari jenis yang sama. Setiap rekabentuk dan simulasi yang dilakukan terhadap antena dan litar-litar adalah dilakukan dengan menggunakan perisian HPADS. Selain itu, mikropengawal 8051 digunakan bagi melakukan pengawalan serta pemprosesan data terhadap keseluruhan sistem radar pencari arah ini. ______________________________________________________________________________________ This report presents the design of radar direction finder which will be use to detect the receiving signal in the frequency range of 2GHz to 18GHz. This range of frequency is commonly use by the military for their operations. This system is design with the combination of several parts such as receiver antenna, low noise amplifier circuit, mixer down converter circuit, varactor tuned oscillator circuit, band pass filter circuit, RF to DC voltage converter circuit, amplifier circuit, analog to digital converter (ADC) circuit, digital to analog converter (DAC) circuit and finally the 8051 microcontroller trainer board. In this system, the receiver antenna that will be use is from the antipodal vivaldi antenna type. Its need exactly eight identical antenna to make this direction finder system to works well. Each design and simulation done in this project is using the software called HPADS. The control and process unit for this system is done by the 8051 microcontroller.
