Substrat panduan gelombang terintegrasi adalah sejenis laluan transmisi yang terbaru. Ia melaksanakan panduan gelombang di atas papan litar bercetak dengan mengemulasikan dinding tepi panduan gelombang menggunakan dua baris dinding logam. Substrat panduan gelombang memiliki kelebihan dari lajur mikro seperti saiz yang padat dan mudah diintegrasi, dan juga memiliki kelebihan daripada panduan jalur seperti kehilangan radiasi yang rendah. Ciri-ciri substrat panduan gelombang terintegrasi dipelajari dari segi parameter desain, simulasi, analysis dan pembuatan. Hal ini dikaji dengan mendesain, mensimulasi dan membuat substrate panduan gelombang terintegrasi. Kemudian analisis dijalankan ke atas hasil simulasi dan sukatan. Selain itu, kajian juga dibuat untuk membandingkan panduan gelombang segi empat dan substrat panduan gelombang terintegrasi dalam terma frekuensi potong dan pemala propagasi dan bagaimana saiz struktur tersebut member kesan kepada terma-terma tersebut. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is a new type of transmission line. It implements a waveguide on a printed circuit board by emulating the side walls of the waveguide using two rows of metal posts. SIW has the merits both from the microstrip for compact size and easy integration, and from the waveguide for low radiation loss, and thus it leads to another efficient microwave circuits and antenna at low costs. The characteristics of SIW are studied in tern of design parameters, simulation, analysis and fabrication. The study is done by designing the designing, simulating and fabricating this SIW. Then the analysis is implemented on simulation and measurement results. In addition, the study is done to compare the characteristics both of RWG and SIW in term of cutoff frequency and propagation constant and how the dimensions of these structures affect those terms. A good design of SIW should able to show the similar characteristics with the RWG both in simulation and measurement results.
