Tesis ini adalah mengenai LNA berjalur lebar dari 4 hingga 6 GHz untuk aplikasi frekuensi radio. LNA ini menggunakan teknologi 0.13- um CMOS teknologi SIlterra dan disimulasikan melalui Cadence SpectreRF. LNA masukan tunggal ini menggunakan teknik PCSNIM untuk mencapai pemadanan masukan dan hingar yang serentak pada mana-mana pelesapan kuasa. Jalur lebar LNA ini dicapai melalui rangkaian RLC di masukan dan keluaran LNA. LNA kaskod dua peringkat ini mencapai gandaan melebihi 26 dB serta NF melebihi 3dB bagi julat 4 dan 6 GHz yang dikehendaki. Gandaan maksimum ialah hampir mencapai 30 dB pada frekuensi 5.3 GHz dan NF minimum iaitu hampir 3 dB pada frekuensi 4.4 GHz. LNA ini melepaskan 19mW pada 1.2V bekalan voltan. ______________________________________________________________________________________ This work presents the design of a 4 to 6 GHz wideband LNA for RF applications. The LNA utilizing 0.13-um CMOS technology from Silterra and is simulated in Cadence SpectreRF. The presented single- ended LNA employing the PCSNIM technique on the cascode topology to achieve simultaneous noise and input matching at any given amount of power dissipation. RLC networks at both the input and output helps in obtaining wideband of the LNA. The two- staged cascode LNA achieves S21>26 dB and NF>3 dB for the frequency range of 4 to 6 GHz. The maximum S21 is approximately 30 dB at 5.3 GHz and minimum NF is around 3 dB at 4.4 GHz. The LNA consumes only 19mW for a 1.2V supply.
