Pencahayaan merupakan antara keperluan penting dalam hidup untuk membekal cahaya pada waktu malam dan di kawasan yang gelap. Sistem kawalan lampu adalah penting untuk mengelakkan pembaziran tenaga. Tujuan projek ini adalah untuk mereka bentuk satu sistem kawalan lampu jimat tenaga bagi memantau dan mengawal pensuisan dan tahap kecerahan lampu. Mikropengawal AVR telah digunakan sebagai pengawal utama dalam sistem ini. Dua jenis sensor telah digunakan, iaitu sensor penghunian dan sensor cahaya bagi mengesan keberadaan penghuni dan mengawal tahap kecerahan lampu dalam kawasan yang dipantau. Pensuisan lampu dikawal dengan menganalisis data daripada sensor penghunian, sementara tahap kecerahan lampu diubah berdasarkan keadaan cuaca di sekitar kawasan yang dipantau. Lampu dipadamkan secara automatic apabila tiada penghuni dikesan di dalam kawasan tersebut. Apabila seseorang hadir, lampu tersebut akan dihidupkan dan tahap kecerahan lampu diubah secara automatik. Analisis dan penilain terhadap sistem telah membuktikan bahawa sistem kawalan lampu berkos rendah dancekap ini dapat memantau serta mengawal pensuisan dan tahap kecerahan lampu seterusnya dapat mengelakkan dari pembaziran tenaga. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Lighting is one of the important needs in life to give illumination at night or at the darker place. It is desirable to have a lighting control systemto prevent the energy from going wasted. The objective of this project is to design an energy conservation lighting control system to monitor and control the switching and the intensity of the light. The AVR microcontroller board is used as the main controller of the system. Two types of sensors, occupancy sensor and light sensor are used to detect the presence of an occupant and adjust the intensity of light in the monitored area. Switching of the light is controlled by analyzing data from the occupancy sensor, while the intensity of lights in the monitored area is adjusted according to brightness of natural light around the area. The light is automatically switched off when there is no occupant detected in the area. When someone is present, the light will automatically switched on and the brightness is automatically adjusted. Analysis and evaluation of the complete system showed that this economical and reliable lighting control system is able to monitor and control the switching and the light intensity and thus has the potential to preventthe energy from being wasted.
