Motor aruhan adalah salah satu daripada motor elektrik yang digunakan secara meluas dalam perkakas rumah terutamanya motor aruhan satu-fasa. Sebab utama iadigunakan kerana motor diberi secara langsung dari sumber elektrik satu-fasa tanpa apa-apa peranti kawalan. Tujuan projek ini adalah untuk mengkaji prinsip kerja dan mengkaji kawalan kelajuan motor aruhan satu-fasa yang digunakan dalam kipas siling. Secara teori, ia menunjukkan bahawa kawalan kelajuan motor aruhan satu-fasa adalah bergantung kepada bilangan kutub dalam motor pemegun. Berdasarkan kepada corak penggulungan asal pada pemegun, pengubahsuaian terhadap corak penggulungan dilakukandan dalam projek ini. Rekabentuk pengubahsuaian diuji untuk melihat perubahan dalam kelajuan segerak motor aruhan satu-fasa. Selain itu, kelajuan putaran motor aruhan yang dipasang di kipas siling disiasat dan dianalisis. Di samping itu, beberapa ujian dijalankan untuk menganalisis prestasi kipas siling sebelum dan selepas reka bentuk pengubahsuaian itu dilakukan. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Induction motor is one of the motor electrical that widely used in household appliances especially a single-phase induction motor. The main reason for this is that the motor is fed directly from the commercial single-phase source without any control devices. The aim of this project is to study the working principles and to study the speed control of single-phase induction motor that is applied in ceiling fan. In theory, it show that the speed control of the single-phase induction motor depends on the number of poles in stator motor. Based on the original stator winding pattern, a modification is doneand few winding patterns were designed in this project. The modified and design are tested to see the changes in the synchronous speed of the single-phase induction motor. Besides that, the rotational speed of the induction motor that is installed in ceiling fan is investigated and analyzed.In addition, few test are conducted to analyze the performance of the ceiling fan before and after the modification design is done.
