Applicability: The method is suitable for determining the content of high molecular mass cationic-active substances in detergent formulations, provided that anionic surface-active agents are absent, as their presence can interfere with the accuracy of the results. Methodology: The standard describes a direct two-phase titration technique for the quantification of cationic-active matter. This involves titrating the sample in a two-phase system to determine the concentration of cationic-active substances. Molecular Mass Requirement: For accurate expression of the cationic-active matter content as a percentage by mass, the relative molecular mass of the active material should be known or previously determined
