Kesan pendedahan udara terhadap mortar berpolimer / Mat Zahir Bakar
Kajian ke atas kesan pengawetan terhadap konkrit berpolimer dijalankan untuk membandingkan sifat-sifat kejuruteraan di dalam ujian mampatan, ujian lenturan, ujian penyerapan air dan keliangan, ujian tukul menganjal, ujian halaju denyutan ultrabunyi dan ujian penentuan ketumpatan di dalam dua keadaan iaitu konkrit berpolimer yang diawet dalam air dan konkrit berpolimer yang didedahkan kepada udara. Dalam kajian ini, polimer lateks digunakan sebagai agen pengisi dalam campuran konkrit iaitu sebanyak 20% daripada berat simen. Keputusan terhadap kajian yang dibuat menunjukkan bahawa pengawetan mempunyai kesan penting di dalam sifat-sifat kejuruteraan dan sifat-sifat ketahanan contohnya penyerapan air. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Study on the effects of curing condition to the polymer concrete was carried out to compare the engineering properties in term of compression test, flexural test, water absorption and porosity, rebound hammer test, ultrasonic pulse velocity test, as well as concrete density in the water and the another one exposed to the environment. In this research, 20% latex was used as the filler in the concrete design which replace the cement content. The results indicate that curing condition has significant effect on engineering properties and durability properties such as water absorption.
