Thesis ini adalah mengenai merekacipta satu empennage untuk kapal terbang saiz medium jenis perniagaan dengan pemanjangan thesis, iaitu perekaciptaan penyekatan tekanan belakang. Thesis in akan terutamanya mangandungi aspek rekacipta untuk sebuah penyekatan tekanan belakang. Senarai aspek-aspek ini adalah seperti berikut: i) Pilih satu konfigurasi penyekatan tekanan belakang yang sesuai ii) Pilih bahan yang sesuai untuk membuat penyekatan tekanan belakang iii) Menentukan ketebalan minimum yang diperlukan untuk penyekatan tekanan belakang iv) Menghitung beban pada satu bolt dengan kombinasi sendi dan bolt yang berlainan v) Kaedah pengancingan mekanikal penyekatan tekan belakang kepada bangkai kapal terbang vi) Mencari bahan dan saiz baut yang sama. vii) Menentukan samada size baut boleh menahan beban pada sendi. viii) analysis elemen terhad pada penyekatan tekanan belakang dalam CATIA. Rekacipta muktamad bagi penyekatan tekanan belakang ialah jenis mendatar, diperbuat daripada GLARE (glass reinforced aluminum laminate). Kaedah pengancingan mekanikal penyekatan tekan belakang kepada bangkai kapal terbang ialah baut dan nut. Kami akan menggunakan kombinasi sendi 6x3 dengan jarak 60 darjah. Jenis baut dan nut yang saya guna ialah ISO 4014 M10x45 Steel Grade A Hexagon Head Bolt and ISO 4032 M10 Steel Grade A Hexagon Nut. ______________________________________________________________________________________ This thesis is about the design of empennage of the mid-size business jet with the extension of the design of its rear pressure bulkhead. This thesis will mainly cover many aspects of considerations and processes for designing rear pressure bulkhead. They are listed as below: i) Decide a suitable type of rear pressure bulkhead configuration ii) Choosing the right material to manufacture the rear pressure bulkhead. iii) Calculate the minimum thickness required for flat rear pressure bulkhead iv) Calculate the load on a single joint with various combinations of joints and bolts. v) The method of mechanical fastening of the pressure bulkhead to the fuselage vi) Finding the right bolt material and size vii) Decide whether the chosen bolt can withstand the load. viii) finite element analysis on rear pressure bulkhead in CATIA. The final design of the rear pressure bulkhead is flat, with the thickness of 0.045m, made of GLARE (glass reinforced aluminum laminate). The mechanical fastening method that we use to join the rear pressure bulkhead to the forward fuselage skin is bolts and nuts. We will use the combination of bolt and joint 6𝑥3, each joint with 60 degrees apart. The type of bolt and nut that I use are ISO 4014 M10x45 Steel Grade A Hexagon Head Bolt and ISO 4032 M10 Steel Grade A Hexagon Nut.
