BS 7755-5.4:1998 Soil quality. Physical methods - Method by sieving and sedimentation
Withdrawn
Defines a basic procedure for determination of particle size distribution applying to a wide range of mineral soil materials, including the mineral fraction of organic soils. In addition, it offers methods for dealing with the less common soils. Intended mainly for use in the environmental field. Determines enough size fractions to facilitate the construction of a reliable particle size distribution curve. Not applicable to the determining of the particle size distribution of the organic components of soil, that is the more or less fragile, partially decomposed, remains of plants and animals.
