BS EN 10154:1996 is a British Standard that specifies the requirements for continuously hot-dip zinc-coated low carbon steel sheet and strip for cold forming. The standard specifies the grades of steel, the thickness and width tolerances, the mechanical properties, the surface quality, and the chemical composition of the zinc coating.
The standard applies to products with a thickness of up to 3 mm and a width of up to 1,600 mm. It is intended for use in the construction industry, automotive industry, and other industrial applications where low carbon steel sheet and strip for cold forming is required.
BS EN 10154:1996 was replaced by the European standard EN 10346:2015, which is identical to the international standard ISO 3575:2016. EN 10346 specifies the requirements for continuously hot-dip coated steel flat products for cold forming, including zinc-coated low carbon steel sheet and strip.
