Bilangan pengguna yang memakai alat bantuan pendengaran telah meningkat dari hari ke hari dan membawa kepada pembangunan alat bantuan pendengaran tanpa wayar untuk aplikasi telefon pintar. Tesis ini membentangkan teknologi Bluetooth dengan kebolehan Jaringan Sensor Wayarles (WSN) untuk sistem bantuan pendengaran wayarles. Teknologi komunikasi tanpa wayar yang digunakan sebagai sistem komunikasi dalam projek ini bertujuan untuk mengurangkan pendawaian atau kabel antara telefon pintar dan alat bantuan pendengaran. Satu prototaip alat bantuan pendengaran iaitu pembesar suara 8 ohm digunakan untuk pembangunan sistem ini. Dua nod dipertimbangkan dalam sistem ini iaitu satu nod diiktiraf untuk telefon pintar dan nod kedua untuk papan kawalan Arduino UNO. Penghantaran data dalam sistem ini sepenuhnya menggunakan modul Bluetooth HC-06. Modul HC-06 dipasang dengan teknologi Bluetooth yang berkualiti tinggi menjadikan sistem ini dapat berkomunikasi lebih daripada 10 m seperti kebiasaan modul Bluetooth mampu berkomunikasi. Pelbagai penyiasatan telah dilaksanakan pada komponen dan GUI sebelum mendapat sistem yang bersepadu. Ujian pra modul Bluetooth dilakukan bagi menguji keupayaan untuk menghantar isyarat daripada telefon pintar ke komputer riba. Rangkaian penghantaran diuji di kawasan terbuka tanpa ada halangan. Setiap satu daripada ujian beserta dengan keputusan didokumenkan dalam tesis ini. Sistem yang telah bersepadu diuji dengan persekitaran sebenar seperti ujian julat bagi menguji kebolehan maksimum modul Bluetooth HC-06, manakala gangguan komunikasi tanpa wayar juga dikira enggunakan osiloskop bagi memastikan gangguan frekuensi yang terhasil masih berada dalam lingkungan gangguan yang diterima. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Numbers of the user that wear hearing aid have increased day by day and lead to the development of wireless hearing aid for Smartphone application. This thesis presents a Bluetooth technology with the capability of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) for a wireless hearing aid system. The wireless communication technology used as the communication system in this project aims to reduce the wiring or cabling between the Smartphone and the hearing aid. A prototype of hearing aid uses 8 ohms speaker for this development system. Two nodes can be considered in this system which is node one assigned for the Smartphone and node two for the controller Arduino UNO. Data transmission in this system is fully used by the Bluetooth module HC-06. The Bluetooth module HC-06 is installed with the high-quality Bluetooth technology making this system able to communicate for more than 10 m. Multiple investigations are executed on the components and the GUI before getting into the integrated system. Pre-test on the Bluetooth module are tested for the ability to send the signal from the Smartphone to the laptop. The transmission range is tested in the open area without any obstacle. Each of the tests respectively with the results is documented in this thesis. The final integrated system was tested for the real environment such as range test for the maximum abilities of the Bluetooth module HC-06, whereas the interference of the wireless communication also alculated uses the oscilloscope to make sure that the frequency interference still in the range of acceptable interference.
