Kajian ini berkaitan dengan anggaran penggunaan tenaga pengangkutan berasaskan kepada ciri tingkah laku perjalanan di dalam Kampus Kejuruteraan, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Ciri tingkah laku perjalanan termasuklah jarak perjalanan, kelajuan perjalanan, bilangan perjalanan setiap hari dan nisbah mod pengangkutan yang hanya tertumpu kepada perjalanan yang dibuat di dalam kampus. Data tingkah laku perjalanan dikumpulkan melalui kaedah campuran tinjauan soal selidik yang melibatkan 1000 responden, termasuk kakitangan dan pelajar, yang bersamaan dengan 25% daripada jumlah populasi di dalam kampus. Hasil daripada kajian menunjukkan sebanyak 1897 perjalanan dihasilkan oleh kenderaan bermotor termasuk kereta dan motosikal setiap hari. Jumlah jarak perjalanan sehari ialah 1056.29 km dengan kelajuan purata 45 km/j. Perjalanan purata bagi setiap orang adalah 4 perjalanan setiap hari. Penggunaan anggaran tenaga dari kenderaan bermotor di dalam kampus ini adalah sebanyak 1.25E9MJ. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ This study emphasizes on the estimation of transportation energy consumption based on travel behaviour characteristics of the population in the Engineering Campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia. The travel behaviour characteristics includes the travel distance, travel speed, number of trips per day and modal share of the transport that only focuses on the trips that were made inside the campus. The travel behaviour data was collected through mix methods of questionnaire surveys that involved 1000 respondents, including staff and students, which are equivalent to 25% of the total population. The result from the survey showed that a total of 1897 trips per day were produced by the motorized vehicles including cars and motorcycles. The total trip length per day was 1056.29 km with the average speed of 45 km/h. Average trips for each person was 4 trips per day. The estimate denergy consumption from motorized vehicles in this campus was reported as 1.25E9MJ.
