Dalam beberapa dekad kebelakangan ini, beberapa kaedah telah dibangunkan untuk menyelesaikan masalah penghantaran beban ekonomi. Kehilangan kuasa adalah aspek utama yang diambil kira dalam kajian ini. Anggaran yang tepat untuk kehilangan kuasa adalah penting untuk mendapatkan penghantaran beban ekonomi yang baik supaya dapat mengurangkan kos pengeluaran, menjimatkan tenaga dan memelihara alam sekitar di dunia moden ini. Objektif bagi memastikan aliran kuasa yang stabil, berkualiti dan ekonomikal dalam sistem dapat dicapai dengan mudah melalui analisa aliran beban dan penghantaran beban. Dengan menjalankan analisis aliran beban dan analisis penghantaran beban ekonomi, semua parameter penting seperti kos bahan api, kos penjanaan, nilai kecergasan, pekali kerugian dan kehilangan kuasa boleh dianalisa dan dikenal pasti. Terdapat banyak kaedah yang boleh digunakan untuk mengira kehilangan kuasa. Dalam projek ini, tumpuan utama adalah pada cara Algoritma Genetik, Pembezaan Evolusi, Pengaturcaraan Quadratic dan pekali-B. Program MATLAB yang telah didapati bagi setiap kaedah dan diuji ke atas empat sistem piawai iaitu sistem IEEE 5-bas, sistem IEEE 9-bas, system IEEE 26-bas dan sistem IEEE 30 bas untuk tiga beban yang berbeza iaitu 75% beban kuasa, 100 % beban kuasa dan 125 % beban kuasa. Keberkesanan dan kekuatan setiap kaedah diukur dari segi peratus kesilapan dan masa pengiraan yang diambil untuk semua muatan yang berbeza. Setelah itu, analisa lanjutan dilakukan dengan membandingkan keputusan simulasi daripada pelbagai kaedah untuk menentukan kaedah terbaik untuk mendapatkan kehilangan kuasa. Pengaturcaraan Quadratic adalah kaedah terpantas untuk mengira kehilangan kuasa dan kaedah pekali-B menunjukkan cara yang terbaik berbanding semua kaedah untuk mengira kehilangan kuasa bagi pelbagai sistem dan pelbagai beban. ______________________________________________________________________________________ In recent decades, several methods have been developed to solve the problem of economic load dispatch. Transmission loss is the major aspect that has been considered in this research. Best estimations of transmission loss are needed to obtain good economic load dispatch thus minimizing production cost, conserve energy and preserve the environment in today’s fast growing modern world. The task of ensuring a stable, reliable and economic power flow within a system can be easily achieved through load flow and load dispatch analysis. By conducting load flow and economic load dispatch analysis, all important parameters such as fuel cost, generating cost, fitness value, loss coefficient and power loss can be analyzed and determined. There are many methods that can be used to compute power loss. In this project, the main focus is on Genetic Algorithm, Differential Evolution, Quadratic Programming and B- coefficient method. MATLAB sources codes are obtained for each method to be tested on four standard test systems which include IEEE 5-bus, IEEE 9-bus, IEEE 26-bus and IEEE 30-bus test system for three different loadings which are at 75% power demand, 100% power demand and 125% power demand. Percentage of errors and computation time taken for computation power loss for all different loading are analyzed to measure the effectiveness and robustness of each method. Further analysis is done by comparing the simulation results from the various methods to determine the best method to obtain the power loss. Quadratic programming shows the fastest method to compute transmission loss while B-coefficient method presents the best method over the other methods to compute transmission loss at different test systems and different loadings.
