Motor elektrik adalah motor yang mengubah tenaga elektrik kepada tenaga mekanikal. Projek ini adalah untuk mereka satu motor yang tidak menggunakan elektrik dan dapat menjimatkan bil elektrik pengguna. Selain itu, kehilangan juga dapat di turunkan kerana tiada sebarang elektrik yang digunakan. Hal ini akan membuatkan motor akan beroperasi dengan kuasa asal dan mengelakkan kerosakan untuk penggunaan yang berpanjangan. Terdapat dua langkah yang telah digunakan untuk melengkapkan projek ini adalah dengan pemilihan magnet dan rekaannya. Magnet untuk motor dipilih adalah berdasarkan kekuatan dan bentuk magnet tersebut. Magnet yang berbeza bentuk menghasilkan medan magnet yang berlainan. Kemudian, motor direka secara berperingkat dimulai dengan prototaip 1 hingga protaip 4. Prorotaip-prototaip direka mengikut carta aliran kerja penyelidikan. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, ia menunjukkan prototaip 1 hingga 3 tidak menepati objektif projek. Siasatan lanjut berkenaan jenis magnet dan rekaannya dijalankan. Akhirnya, prototaip yang terakhir iaitu prototaip 4 direka. Kelebihan prototaip 4 ini adalah ia tidak menggunakan elektrik dan kehilangan geseran yang ada di pengalas dapat dikurangkan.

An electric motor is a motor that convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. This project is to design a motor that does not use electricity to save the electricity bill for consumer. Besides, the losses in the motor can be reduced because there is no electricity involves in this motor. Thus, it will operate at its rated power and prevent damage for long term usage. There are two stages that need to be done to complete this project, which are the magnet selection for the motor and the design. The magnet for the motor are chosen based on their strengths and shapes. Different magnets shape have different results in its magnetic field. Then, the motor is designed progressively starting from prototype 1 until prototype 4. Prototypes are designed according to the flow chart of research work. Based on the experimental results, it showed that the prototypes 1, 2 and 3 did not meet the project objectives. Further investigations on the magnet type and design are conducted. Finally, the final prototype, which is prototype 4 is designed. The advantages of the prototype 4 are it uses no electricity and friction loss in bearings of the motor is reduced.
