Kajian ini dijalankan untuk membuat simulasi aliran di dalam alur limpah dengan menggunakan program Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD), FLUENTTM 6.2. Tiga tahap yang berbeza air yang digunakan untuk kajian ini yang 55.94m, 56.87m dan 57.80m. Ini adalah bagi mewakili tiga ketinggian yang berbeza bertindak di permukaan alur limpah iaitu rendah, sederhana dan tinggi. Dalam kajian ini, satu model CFD alur limpah telah dibangunkan. Keluaran FLUENTTM menggambarkan ciri-ciri asas yang mempunyai magnitud vektor halaju (m / s), kontur vektor halaju (m / s) kontur tekanan (Pascal). Kebanyakan keputusan dijalankan dari simulasi berangka sebenarnya hampir simulasi fizikal. Oleh itu dari kajian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahawa CFD boleh digunakan sebagai alternatif kepada pemodelan fizikal untuk pelongsor alur limpah. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ This study attempt to simulate the flow characteristic in a spillway by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) code FLUENTTM 6.2. Three different levels of water used for this study which are 55.94m, 56.87m and 57.80m. It is representing for three different levels that act on spillway which is low, middle and high. In this study, a comprehensive CFD model of spillway was developed. The FLUENTTM outputs illustrate the basic features of magnitudes of velocity vectors (m/s), contour of velocity vector (m/s) pressure contour (Pascal). Most of the results conducted from the numerical simulation are actually approximately near to the physical simulation. Thus from the study, it can be concluded that the CFD can be used as an alternative to physical modeling of chute spillway.
