Rektifier selalu digunakan dan popular dalam elektronik kuasa dalam menghasilkan kecekapan penukaran tenaga. Rektifier tiga fasa digunakan dalam aplikasi litar penukar isyarat arus ulang-alik menjadi keluaran arus terus seperti motor arus ulang-alik yang mana menghasilkan harmonik yang banyak pada arus masukan. Penggunaan 6- dedenyut rectifier tiga fasa mengandungi riak voltan yang tinggi. Riak voltan boleh dikurangkan dengan meningkatkan jumlah dedenyut rektifier. Apabila riak voltan berkurang, arus harmonik juga akan berkurang.Projek ini menghasilkan 12-dedenyut rektifier tiga fasa dengan kapasitor masukan. Gabungan dari dua 6-dedenyut rektifier tiga fasa dengan transformer tiga fasa, wye-delta memainkan peranan dalam meningkatkan jumlah dedenyut rektifier daripada 6-dedenyut kepada 12-dedenyut. 6-dedenyut rektifier tiga fasa di sambung secara siri dan juga dikenali sebagai gandaan dedenyut (multi pulse).Kapasitor masukan diletakkan pada sisi masukan rektifier bagi mengelak dan meminimakan lonjakan arus dengan menggunakan daya ketika arus masukan minima. Kapasitor masukan juga dikenali sebagai penapis arus ulang-alik. Dalam projek ini, analisis secara mendalam terhadap jumlah herotan arus dan faktor kuasa masukan terhadap 12-dedenyut dilakukan melalui simulasi dan eksperimen. Semua data di rekodkan dalam jadual dan format graf untuk kemudahan penggunaan. Hasil daripada analisis, faktor riak bagi 12-dedenyut lebih remdah berbanding 6-dedenyut, Peratusan bagi kadar arus herotan 12-dedenyut lebih rendah daripada 6-dedenyut iaitu 3.4% untuk 12-dedenyut dan 14.4% untuk 6-dedenyut.

Rectifier is the mostly used and popular in power electronic in order to produce the most efficient energy conversion. Three phase diode bridges are used in AC-DC rectification applications such as motor drives which are draw line currents that are rich in harmonics. The used of 6-pulses three phase rectifier contain high ripple voltage. The ripple voltage can be reduced by increasing the number of pulses. When the ripple voltage is reduced, the harmonic current also can be reduced. This project is presented a 12-pulses three phase rectifier with capacitor input. The conventional of two 6-pulses three phase rectifier with the wye-delta three phase transformer played the role in order to increase operating pulse number from original 6 to 12. The two 6-pulses three phase rectifier connected in series is known as multi pulse method. The capacitor input is added at the input side of the rectifier in order to prevent the inrush and minimized current by applying the power when the input current become minimum. This capacitor input also known as AC filter. In this project, the analysis on the line current THD and input power factor of 12-pulse is deeply carried out through the simulation and experiment and all the result are presented in table and graphical format for ease of use. As a result, the ripple factor produced by 12-pulses is lower than 6-pulses.The percentage of THDi of 12-pulses is greatly lower than 6-pulses which is 3.4% for 12-pulses and 14.4% for 6-pulses.
