Design of 500w half bridge push full converter
For many years the world of power supply design has seen a gradual movement away from the use of linear power supplies to the more practical switch mode power supply (SMPS). Every new electronic product, except those that are battery powered, requires converting ac line 115 Vac or 230 Vac power to some dc voltage for powering the electronics. The availability of design and application information and highly integrated semiconductor control ICs for switching power supplies allows the designer to complete this portion of the system design quickly and easily. This paper will present the design of SMPS on the half-bridge push pull topology with output power of 500W at the fixed frequency 100kHz. This project includes the design of the circuit, simulation and fabrication of the hardware. The circuit is simulated using PSIM software to make sure the design circuit and the value of parameters to be used is correct. The circuit consists of two part which are main part and switching part. The main part is the power circuit and the switching part is the part that will drive the power circuit using the switching device. This paper will focus on the design of SMPS using the improvement topology of push pull which is half-bridge or also known as half-bridge push pull. Dunia bekalan kuasa menyaksikan perubahan daripada penggunaan bekalan kuasa linear kepada penggunaan bekalan kuasa yang lebih praktikal iaitu bekalan kuasa mod pensuisan (SMPS). Setiap produk elektronik yang baru, kecuali yang menggunakan bateri memerlukan penukaran talian ac 115V atau 230V kepada nilai dc voltage tertentu untuk memberi kuasa kepada barang elektronik. Projek ini akan mendedahkan rekabentuk SMPS menggunakan topologi titi separuh penuh tolak tarik dengan kuasa keluaran 500W dan frekuensi tetap 100kHz. Projek ini menggabungkan rekabentuk litar, simulasi dan pembinaan litar secara praktikal. Litar rekabentuk ini di simulasi dengan menggunakan perisian PSIM untuk memastikan litar dan nilai-nilai parameter yang digunakan adalah betul. Litar ini mempunyai dua bahagian iaitu bahagian utama dan bahagian pensuisan. Bahagian utama adalah litar kuasa dan bahagian pensuisan adalah bahagian yang akan memacu litar kuasa menggunakan peranti pensuisan. Tesis ini akan menekankan rekabentuk SMPS menggunakan topologi tolak tarik yang telah di tambahbaikkan iaitu titi separuh penuh atau dikenali juga sebagai titi separuh penuh tolak tarik.
