Abstract BS ISO/IEC 7498-4:1989 is a British Standard (BS) that adopts the ISO/IEC 7498-4 standard, which is titled "Information technology. Open systems interconnection. Basic reference model - Management framework." This standard pertains to the field of information technology (IT), specifically focusing on open systems interconnection (OSI). The OSI reference model is a conceptual framework that standardizes the functions of a telecommunication or computing system into seven abstraction layers. ISO/IEC 7498-4 specifically deals with the management framework within this OSI reference model.
