BS 7794:1995 Specification for square-drive sockets, driving squares and accessories for power-driven socket wrenches

This British Standard specifies design and is the
dimensional requirements for the following
components of power-driven socket wrenches:
a) square-drive sockets for metric bolts, nuts and
machine screws specified in:
BS 3692 1967, BS 4183: 1967, BS 4190 1967,
BS 4395 Parts 1 and 2: 1969, BS 4929: 1973;
b) driving squares;
c) accessories: square-drive converters,
extensions and universal joints.
The dimensional requirements for comparable
sockets for the inch series of bolts, nuts and
machine screws are specified in annexes A and B.
Annex C gives notes on the safe usage of
power-driven sockets and accessories, and annex D
