menyebabkan kehilangan kuasa mampatan.

Ultra High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC) with a high
compressive strength of more than 150 MPa and an improved durability marks a
quantum leap in concrete technology. This ultra high performance material allows the
construction of sustainable and economic buildings with an extraordinary slim design.
UHPFRC has very distinctive properties that are extraordinarily dissimilar to the
properties of normal and high performance concrete. For complete utilisation of
UHPFRC’s superior properties, special knowledge is required for its fire reactions.
The behaviour of UHPFRC under fire is never fully understood. The low water to
binder ratio reduces permeability and creates smaller voids, which increases the risk of
spalling under fire due to higher internal pore pressures. Exposure to fire could also
create risk in loss of compressive strength. In short, this research will describe the
physical characteristics of UHPFRC under fire exposure, the spalling behaviour
pertaining to it and finally the mass loss and residual strength after subjecting to fire
loading. The methodology includes the use of furnace at very high temperatures of
200˚C, 400˚C and 600˚C, for 2 hours fire exposure. This material would also be tested
accordingly to BS476: Fire Tests on Building Materials and Structures; Part 4: Non-
Combustibility Test, Part 6: Fire Propagation Test and Part 7: Surface Spread of Flame
Test. The results that conclude this research is that UHPFRC has a very excellent fire
resistibility in terms of spread of flame and growth of fire. At very low temperatures,
strength loss of UHPFRC is negligible. Spalling was also not visible. Mass loss is
evident. However, when temperatures get very extreme at 400˚C and above, the
concrete deteriorates severely due to heat. No compressive strength was retained and
explosive spalling is evident.
