This standard applies to all machine made pile carpets in accordance with ISO 2424 (except needled pile carpets). This standard is also applicable to tiles with their specific characteristics (adhered tiles or removable loose lay tiles); the additional requirements for tiles are given in annex A of the present standard. This Standard is not applicable to rugs which will be dealt with in a separate standard.
