This International Standard gives the requirements for industrial rigid laminated sheets for electrical purposes based on polyester resins and different reinforcements. Applications and distinguishing properties are given in table1. According to part 1: (IEC 893-1), the individual types are designated by a first group of two letters for resin (e.g. UP for (unsaturated) polyester), a second group of two letters for the reinforcement followed by a serial number of three digits. The abbreviations are given in part 1.
