Teknik reka bentuk ujikaji (DOE) semakin meluas pelaksanaannya dalam industri, pendidikan dan sebagainya. Selain itu, perisian untuk melaksanakan DOE dibina untuk pengguna DOE bagi mengatasi pengiraan statistik yang merenyehkan. Dalam projek ini, siasatan ke atas perisian DOE yang percuma dan boleh didapati di internet akan dijalankan. Pada masa ini, perisian Minitab digunakan dalam kursus DOE (EMM 322) sebagai perisian analisis utama di Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektrik dan Elektronik di Universiti Sains Malaysia. Walau bagaimanapun, Minitab Software adalah perisian berlesen yang mahal dan terhad kepada pengguna berlesen. Senarai perisian percuma yang terdapat di internet di susun dan dibandingkan dengan Minitab dengan beberapa kriteria. Keupayaan perisian dari segi kebolehan mereka untuk melaksanakan Salah satu cara ANOVA, sistem operasi, saiz perisian pemasangan, dan ketersediaan manual pengguna disiasat. Perisian (Sigma Magic, Daniel XL Toolbox, EzAnova) kemudiannya dibandingkan dengan Minitab menggunakan 3 set kriteria; nilai angka yang dijana oleh perisian, plot yang dihasilkan oleh perisian, dan mesra pengguna. Tiada perisian percuma mengatasi Minitab untuk kedua-dua set kriteria yang pertama. Untuk set kriteria yang terakhir, Sigma Magic dan Daniel XL Toolbox mengatasi Minitab.  ___________________________________________________________________________________ Statistical Design of Experiments technique are increasingly being implemented in industries, education and so on. On top of that, software to perform DOE is built for DOE users to overcome tedious statistical calculation. In this project, investigations on the DOE software that are free and available in internet will be carry out. Currently, Minitab Software is used in the DOE course (EMM 322) as the main analysis software in the School Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia. However, Minitab Software is a licensed software that is costly and limited licensed users. The list of free software found in internet is compile and compared with Minitab with regards to several criteria. The capabilities the software in term of their ability to perform One way ANOVA, their operating system, size software installer, and availability of user manual are investigated. The software (Sigma Magic, Daniel’s XL Toolbox, EzAnova) are then compared to Minitab using 3 set of criteria; numerical value generated by the software, plots generated by the software, and user-friendliness. None of the free software outperform Minitab for the first two sets of criteria. For the last set of criteria, Sigma Magic and Daniel’s XL Toolbox outperform Minitab.
