Teknologi terkini peranti elektronik telah digunakan secara meluas atas Sistem Elektrik Power Distribution (EPDS). Degradasi kualiti kuasa (PQ) adalah disebabkan oleh beban bukan linear yang merupakan peranti elektronik kuasa. Salah satu peranti elektronik kuasa yang digunakan secara meluas adalah penukar kuasa tenaga boleh diperbaharui. Tenaga boleh diperbaharui semakin meningkat secara drastik telah menjadikan peranti elektronik kuasa sebagai penukar untuk menukar kuasa DC kepada kuasa AC. Sesetengah aplikasi tenaga boleh diperbaharui telah disambungkan ke grid kuasa elektrik untuk menyediakan bekalan kuasa untuk industri dan komersial. Walau bagaimanapun, aplikasi seperti kereta elektrik juga akan memberi kesan EPDS itu. Meter tenaga di kawasan perindustrian dan perdagangan juga tidak mempunyai fungsi untuk membaca parameter kualiti kuasa seperti jumlah herotan harmonik (THD). Tambahan pula, meter tenaga tidak dapat mengambil data dan memaparkan bentuk gelombang graf dalam masa nyata. Selain itu, kegagalan peralatan elektrik di dalam bangunan yang akan berlaku jika EPDS tidak dipantau dengan betul. Tujuan projek ini adalah untuk memantau penggunaan elektrik dalam masa nyata dan maklumat data diambil secara automatik untuk analisis kualiti kuasa sistem EPDS. Eksperimen telah dijalankan di Power Lab 1 untuk merekod semua data. Beban menjalani ujian adalah beban rintangan, kapasitif dan induktif. Projek ini menggunakan kaedah persampelan untuk membaca data dengan menggunakan NI USB-6009 untuk pemerolehi data dan maklumat data yang telah dipindahkan ke komputer. Hasil dari NI USB-6009 telah dibandingkan dengan Fluke 43B Single Phase Power Quality Analyzer. Ralat peratusan yang rendah NI USB-6009 yang 0.0092% - 0,5729% Ralat membuktikan bahawa NI USB-6009 adalah setanding dengan Fluke 43B Single Phase Power Quality Analyzer. Kesimpulannya, keputusan NI USB 6009 telah bertambah baik dengan menukar dalam program LabVIEW ini. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Recent technologies of electronic devices have been widely used on the Electrical Power Distribution System (EPDS). The power quality (PQ) degradation is caused by non-linear loads which are power electronic devices. One of power electronic devices widely used is renewable energy power convertor. Renewable energy has increased drastically the use of power electronic devices as a converter to convert DC power into AC power. Some renewable applications are connected to the electrical power grid to provide a power supply for industrial and commercial customers. However, the applications such as the electrical vehicle will also affect the EPDS. Energy meter in the industrial and commercial area also lack function to read power quality parameters such as total harmonic distortion (THD). Furthermore, the energy meter is not able to retrieve data and display the graph waveform in real-time . Moreover, the failure of electrical appliances in the building will occur if the EPDS was not monitored properly. The purpose of this project is to monitor the electrical consumption in real-time and retrieve the data information automatically for the power quality analysis of EPDS system. The experiments were carried out at Power Lab 1 to record all the data. The loads tested were a resistive, capacitive and inductive loads. This project used the sampling method to read the data using NI USB-6009 data acquisition and the data information was transferred to the computer. The results from NI USB-6009 ware compared with Fluke 43B Single Phase Power Quality Analyzer. The low percentage error of LabVIEW which is 0.0092% - 0.5729% error proved that NI USB-6009 was comparable to Fluke 43B Single Phase Power Quality Analyzer. In conclusion, the results of NI USB 6009 were improved by calibrating in the LabVIEW program.
